Star Wars galaxy's edge concept

If you're eager to get into Disney's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland during the first month, then you won't have to wait much longer to get your reservations. DIsney has announced that free reservations (required from May 31 to June 23, 2019) needed to get into Galaxy's Edge will become available starting on May 2 at 8 a.m. PT on Disneyland's website. The only requirement to get these free reservations is a Disney account.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is the new Star Wars-themed land that is opening in both Disneyland in Anaheim, California and Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Reservations are not required for the Walt Disney World version, which is opening later in the year on August 29. For Disneyland, Galaxy's Edge is opening on May 31, but reservations are needed to get access to the land between May 31 to June 23. After that, it will be available to everyone without a reservation.

Another way to get a reservation to get into Galaxy's Edge was to book a room at one of the three Disneyland hotels. Booking a room guarantees reservations for up to five registered guests during the date of your hotel reservation between May 31 to June 23.

According to D23, the official Disney fan club, there will be at least five different restaurants inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and there will be plenty of stores to get your shopping done for all Star Wars related merchandise. Cast members who are working in Galaxy's Edge will also be wearing costumes designed by Joe Kucharski, which fall into three categories: rugged military-inspired Resistance outfits; pristine, polished, and orderly FIrst Order uniforms; and various villager costumes that have several mix-and-match pieces, allowing the cast members to customize their own uniform.
