Screenshots from the upcoming Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 remasters have been delivered to us by the Xbox Store, and already, they are showing huge signs of improvements. Crisper character models, less blur, and still a whole lot of violence.

Capcom has put a lot into these remakes, hiring some of the best companies out there to handle their modernization. The original Dead Rising remaster is being worked on by QLOC, a Polish company who did a stunning job on the DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s a stunning port of a mediocre game.

Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record remasters are being handled by the aptly named Mercenary Technologies, which produced the excellent Resident Evil 5 PC port, making it a staple of co-op gameplay.

No release dates yet for any of these Dead Rising projects, but a slip up in the Xbox Store yesterday hinted that it will be on Sept. 13. The remasters will also be coming to the PlayStation 4 and PC.
