“Forlorn Hope.” I can’t think of a better title for a trailer aimed at advertising the remaster of Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. I’m hoping that it looks as gorgeous as the TGS 2013 demo made it look, but I’m forlorn in knowing that those dreams have long since faded.

At any rate, here is a new trailer for the upgrade. Those who already own Dark Souls II on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 will be able to snag the updated content for free. Those who don’t already own it or want to upgrade on the current-gen consoles will have to pay full price. It is the full game after all, DLC and everything included.

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin promises everything that the original game delivered with a new dose of content and better graphics. It seems pretty standard among it remaster peers, but at least it will be free if you are looking to jump through Dark Souls II again.

The update will be released on Apr. 7th for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
