Microsoft’s Phil Spencer was wrapping up the Xbox E3 2018 event when a ‘hack’ took over, courtesy of CD Project. Cyberpunk 2077 was given the nod to close out a presentation that lays out the future of Xbox.

The decision to have Cyberpunk 2077 close out the presentation comes as a surprise since Microsoft doesn’t own its maker. CD Projekt, which is based in Poland, serves as both publisher and developer. The Witcher is a series from the company that’s been made exclusively for Xbox and Windows, but its newest title will also be released for PlayStation.

From the look of the trailer, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature vehicles of sorts. That should indicate a massive world is open for exploring. The game will take place almost six decades after the events from Cyberpunk 2020.

CD Projekt announced the game in 2012, and it had a teaser trailer the following year. Here we are five years later with something substantial to look at.

Cyberpunk 2077 does not yet have a release window.
