CD Projekt Red isn’t ready to talk about Cyberpunk 2077 just yet. They’ve gone on record saying that this year and next are all about supporting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and that any news of the dystopian future-themed RPG will come after that.

Well, that’s mostly true. Except for right now. Thanks to a brief interview between MCV and CD Projekt Red Visual Effects Artist Jose Teixeira. They talk super briefly about the scale of Cyberpunk 2077 compared to other CD Projekt games. Specifically, they compare Cyberpunk to The Witcher 3, the biggest game CD Projekt Red has ever made.

“Cyberpunk is far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt Red has done before… Far, far bigger.”

The scale and learning curve in The Witcher 3 will actually make Cyberpunk 2077 a better game, according to Teixeira. He continues…

“If anything, working on The Witcher 3 was a really good and often brutal learning experience. Cyberpunk is going to benefit greatly from it. I can almost guarantee it.”

Details for Cyberpunk 2077 are beyond scant, folks. However, the more and more I learn about this game, the more I want it. We’re a ways off, of course, but I’ll still be following it impatiently.
