Studio MDHR has always developed Cuphead with run ‘n gun shooter boss fights in mind. Proper platforming sections of levels was discussed, though not necessarily in the cards from the outset. Eventually, they decided to add them to the game properly.

Now, we have, thanks to IGN, the debut gameplay for these platforming bits. Just like the boss fights and mechanics in general, Cuphead‘s platforming looks tough as nails. That’s awesome.

Cuphead has been announced for the PC and Xbox One platforms. We don’t have a precise release date for it yet, but Studio MDHR points towards 2016 generically. I know, if you’re like me, you wish they’d be more specific. I’m very excited for this game.
