I’ve always had a big soft spot for city simulation titles, and the best of the batch (or, at least, the most reliably good) used to be SimCity. That changed with the launch of the latest mess several years back, and that left the throne wide open for a new king of city sim.
The best city sim game to release in, like, a decade is Cities: Skylines from Paradox Interactive. Now, I played this game back when it hit the PC. Aside from its problematic traffic AI, it’s a really, really good game.
It’s about to release on the PlayStation 4. Cities: Skylines – PlayStation 4 Edition will sell on August 15, 2017, for $39.99.
The PlayStation 4 version of the game includes the base experience that launched on the PC, plus the “After Dark” expansion that brings all sorts of unique night life to your game.
If you’re into the city sim genre and own a PlayStation 4, give this game a crack. It’s easily the best we’ve seen in a good, long time.
