Destiny is the first major game built entirely by Bungie since they parted ways with Microsoft and their epic run with Halo. We don’t know too much about the game, but Bungie has elected to shed a little light on the characters, the locale and the art going into this process with a slew of new media.
The new character video runs over a few of the classes and, what I suspect are, species from the upcoming game. You’ll see concept art and 3D models for some of the characters that will probably play a major role in the first entry in Destiny‘s universe.
Destiny, if you believe Bungie’s current message, is unlike any other shooter on the market. It’s open, perpetual and player driven.
Currently, it’s also an always online thing. We’ll see how that works out.
If you’ve finished the video and are still hungry for mear, fear not! We’ve uploaded almost 50 pieces of concept art that you can flip through until your heart’s content in the gallery below.
Bungie has announced Destiny for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 platforms. We assume the next Xbox will make that pile of consoles. PC gamers? Unfortunately, as of this moment, Destiny is only a console thing. Bummer town.
