I’m pulling my hair out waiting for Square Enix’s Bravely Default to grace my Nintendo 3DS. Luckily, I won’t have to wait that long to give it a spin thanks to Square Enix releasing a demo next month on January 2nd.
More than just a demo, this download will actually hold an entirely separate side-story with “hours of gameplay” not included in the main game. It is designed to give players a taste of the world Bravely Default takes place in, and experience the mechanics at the same time. All the while, nothing is spoiled. Nice idea, Square Enix.
Nintendo 3DS demos are really coming into their own, aren’t they? Both Bravely Default and the Etrian Odyssey demos provided a service to carry over save files and enhance the overall experience rather than just act as an interactive commercial. Keep it up eShop!
Bravely Default will finally be released for the Nintendo 3DS on Feb. 7, 2014. Save the date! Not only does a great game finally get released, but the hype train for Square Enix’s next Nintendo 3DS hit, Dragon Quest VII, could possibly be leaving the station.
