Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is still enjoying the tail end of its Kickstarter campaign with only three days to go, but this Koji Igarashi Directed take on the Metroidvania genre has some gameplay in motion. It's rough, it's early and it's admittedly not too attractive, but Igarashi and company have elected to share it with the world in offscreen video form.

Right away, you're going to hate the character walking animation. I agree, it looks bad. Good news, Igarashi also agrees.

"I usually keep the character at a bit of a jog to match the style of adventure," explains Igarashi in the clip when chatting with another developer from Inti Creates. "She feels a little slow with the walking animation, so let's speed her up a little with a jog." Yes, Igarashi-sama, preach.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has already hit a ton of its stretch goals, including ones that will bring PS Vita and Wii U ports as well as orchestrated tracks, voice work from David Hayter, cheat codes and local co-op. That comes with, at the time of drafting this post, $3.78 million earned.

This is shaping up to be quite an adventure. With only three days left, will they make $4 million raised? We'll see. The last 48 hours of these campaigns usually do very well.
