BlackBerry’s long-rumored phablet—which we expect to be called the Z30—has leaked again, this time in a video showing off a fully-operating version of the upcoming handset. The video was posted by S Channel, a new YouTube account which claims the Z30 will hit stores this fall.
S Channel also said that the Z30 will come equipped with a 5-inch AMOLED 720p display, a dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera, and 16GB of storage, all lining up with earlier rumors and leaks. We also see AT&T’s logo on the back of the device, effectively confirming that it will launch in the U.S. The video also shows BlackBerry’s camera application and highlights Jetpack Joyride on the large screen.
The Z30—initially rumored to be called the A10—is part of BlackBerry’s “second phase” for 2013 as the company attempts to build momentum and hopes for the best going into the holiday shopping season. At this point, however, the struggling smartphone-maker would be lucky just to reclaim third place from Nokia and Windows Phone 8.
