AT&T announced Monday morning that it will begin carrying BlackBerry’s first Android smartphone beginning on November 6.

The BlackBerry Priv, which is already available for pre-order direct from BlackBerry’s website, marks a huge change of course for the Canadian smartphone maker that has otherwise stuck to proprietary software. While we’ll need to reserve judgement until we’ve played with one, it appears to check many of the boxes of a great Android smartphone. That includes a first-class 18MP camera, a large 5.4-inch Quad HD display, a big 3,410mAh battery, expandable storage and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The BlackBery Priv will cost $24.64 per month with AT&T Next 24, $30.84 with AT&T Next 18, $37 with AT&T Next 12 or $249.99 with a standard two-year AT&T contract.
