A new BlackBerry Passport "Silver Edition" has leaked out ahead of its official debut. The device is mostly identical to the original version, but it sports a high-end form factor that appears to be made of aluminum.

CrackBerry reports that the Passport Silver Edition is the BlackBerry "Dallas" we've been hearing about for many months. We still don't know much about it at this point, so it's unclear how much it will cost, where it will be available, or whether it will be a carrier exclusive in some markets.

However, it seems safe to assume the Silver Edition will be almost entirely the same as the original Passport internally, so fans can expect a 4.5-inch display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

This isn't the Android-powered BlackBerry we've all been waiting for, then, but long-time and loyal BlackBerry fans will be glad to see more BB10 devices on the way.
