Back in August we saw leaked pictures of what looked like another BlackBerry-Porsche collaboration, this time called the P’9982. Now the rumored handset has made an appearance at the FCC sporting AT&T LTE and HSPA support, which has us thinking the device could launch in the U.S. this time around.

The BlackBerry 10 smartphone appears to be a variant of the Z10 with a leather back, metallic finish and sharp angles, but other than that we still don’t know anything about the alleged device. After attending a BlackBerry event in Dubai, Tbreak reports that the company may be planning an event for Nov. 20, so maybe we’ll learn more about the device then.

The P’9981 launched back in 2011 for over $2,000 and targeted a very specific overseas market. With BlackBerry struggling to stay afloat it’s a bit of a shock to see this high-end smartphone moving forward, but maybe appealing to the upper crust of consumers is the company’s best option at this point. Honestly, it’s just nice to see the Canadian phone-maker is still working on something, anything; we were a little worried the Z30 phablet might be its final smartphone.
