RIM just announced that it has renamed its annual BlackBerry World show to “BlackBerry Live.” The event will take place in Orlando, as usual, and will occur between May 14 and May 16. That just so happens to overlap with Google’s annual I/O Android developer event, which will run between May 15 and May 17.

Coincidence? We think not.

RIM says attendees can expect to see the BlackBerry 10 platform developments, meet executives, hear what’s next for BlackBerry and more. We hope, and assume, RIM will announce new BB10 devices during this year’s show. We’ll be attending, so stay tuned for more on what to expect in the coming months.
