What, you thought Black Panther was done? Marvel’s latest film is still rocking it at movie theaters in the United States and all over the world, and just passed Titanic to become the United States’ third-highest grossing movie of all time. Take that, Leo. But Marvel isn’t waiting too long to get the movie out into our homes, and I’d be willing to bet the movie might still be in a couple theaters when it’s hitting shelves.
Black Panther hits Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray, and DVD on May 15. If you’re looking to stream it, it’ll be available a week earlier on May 8.
Marvel’s Wakandan adventure will be available in a few different versions, all of which are detailed on the official site. Best Buy is offering Steelbook editions, while Walmart’s special edition comes with some trading cards. Target will have an exclusive “Filmmaker Edition” that includes an art book.
You’ll be able to watch Black Panther just a few weeks after you catch him in Avengers: Infinity War, and before you catch Deadpool’s return to the big screen on May 18.
Superhero fans, this is a busy, busy season. Get your wallets out, because this is getting wild.
Meanwhile, I’d like to ask all the old kids out there to take a moment and remember when we had to wait eight or 12 months for our movies to make it from the theater and onto home video. Those were the days, right?
