We’re now getting our most detailed look at the black color variant of the long-rumored Galaxy S8, in the form of seven hands-on images that surfaced on Chinese social networking website Weibo on Tuesday.

Unlike the gold model that was photographed earlier this week, the black version appears to do a stellar job at hiding the flurry of sensors located on the front of the device.

As you’d expect, this latest set of snaps lines up with everything we’ve seen in previous leaks, corroborating Samsung’s decision to axe the physical home button and reposition the fingerprint scanner.

To make up for the uncomfortable placement of the reader, the firm is reportedly developing a face recognition feature that’s capable of unlocking a device in 0.01 seconds.

Let’s talk aboutspecifications

Speculation suggests the Galaxy S8 will pack a 5.8-inch Infinity Display, a Snapdragon 835 octa-core CPU, a 12MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP selfie shooter and a 3,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy S8 Plus, which isn’t present in today’s batch of images, is believed to pack almost identical internals, though it’ll have a larger 6.2-inch panel and a 3,500mAh battery.

But whenwill we know for sure?

Fortunately, we’ll know exactly what Samsung has up its sleeve later this month when it takes to the stage to showcase the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus on March 29.
