Irrational Games and 2K presented the trailer you see above during the Spike Video Game Awards show over this last weekend. Sit back and enjoy it, it's pretty awesome.

As the tag at the end of the video (as well as the title of this article) suggests, the trailer was built entirely with in-game footage. Even more than that, the singing was done by someone close to the property as well. From Irrational Games' YouTube channel:

Courtnee Draper, the actress who plays Elizabeth in BioShock Infinite, performs the vocals in this trailer.

To that we say, "very cool."

You catch a quick sample of it in the video, but there's a lot of fast and high-flying gameplay to be had in BioShock Infinite. In fact, that's part of why the game looks so incredible to fans of the franchise. The press got a much longer taste of the action during E3, and that lengthy demo is available for your perusal right here.

What do you think of what you have seen for this game so far? Is it something that you feel will live up to the first BioShock?

We'll have more on BioShock Infinite as it comes. The title will release in 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.

The Spike Video Game Awards ran on Saturday night. During the show, several brand new trailers for projects both freshly revealed and already known were made public. As part of our early week coverage, we'll be posting those trailers along with additional game details from the publishers and developers behind each project.

If you've not seen the media before, enjoy it. If you already saw it on Saturday night, get pumped to enjoy it again. However, like we said, we will be working to bring details beyond what was revealed during the show.
