Google’s latest flagships aren’t cheap. The Pixel 2 starts at $649 while the Pixel 2 XL starts at $849. If it weren’t for payment plans, who knows if these phones would be popular. But, regardless of your payment method, chances are you’re going to want to protect the phone’s body or enhance its appearance. There’s no better way to do that than by getting a case.
Here are some cases you should consider for your Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL.
Google Fabric Case
- Color(s): Carbon, Cement, Midnight, Coral
- Price: $40
If you want something made by Google, look no further. The Fabric case, though a bit expensive, is probably the most premium case you can get for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
It doesn’t just look good with its knit exterior and soft microfiber liner. There’s some protection, too, keeping your pricey investment in great shape. Just remember the interior isn’t going to be able to handle drops as extreme as other cases. The Fabric case is mainly for style.
Google’s Fabric case comes in your choice of four colors, and all of them feature a light texture. You could even match this Pixel 2 case with Google Home or Google Home Mini to maintain consistency across your Google-made products.

Spigen Slim Armor CS Case
- Color(s): Black
- Price: $35
The Slim Armor CS case from Spigen looks simple, but there’s a very handy feature hidden inside. You can store cash, cards, and IDs in the storage compartment on the rear. It’s a protective case that doubles as a wallet. Since your phone is as valuable as everything in your wallet, there’s little reason not to merge them in one place.
Spigen didn’t forfeit protection here. This case is dual-layered with shock-absorbent thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and durable polycarbonate. And, as is the case with all Spigen cases, the Slim Armor CS case does have Air Cushion technology to handle big drops.
MNML Thin Case
- Color(s): Clear White, Red, Clear Black, Matte Black, Really Blue
- Price: $15
It won’t protect your phone during drops, but MNML’s Thin case will prevent it from getting scratched or dirty. The name says it all. The Thin case measures 0.35mm thin and fits tightly on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
MNML doesn’t go for total protection. Instead the brand’s only case adds a thin layer to your phone’s exterior to feel like it’s barely there. And you can choose from a few colors that match perfectly with Google’s own.
Pick up the MNML Thin case if you’re someone who never drops your phone but is obsessed with keeping it free of hairline scratches and fingerprints.
Tekcoo Tmajor Case
- Color(s): Black, Baby Pink, Hot Pink, Turquoise, Cube Patter, Green, Purple
- Price: $8
The Tmajor case doesn’t mess around. Tekcoo made a dual-layered case for people who need total protection from everything and anything.
Tekcoo offers more than enough protection here to handle different types of situations that could damage your Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL. That’s why this case is best for those who are clumsy, paranoid or like to be safe. The inner layer is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which helps the case absorb shock from drops and knocks. Meanwhile, the outer layer made of polycarbonate to resist incoming damage. The back also has a texture to it, so this case won’t fall out of your hands easily.
Fortunately, this case isn’t bulky despite maximizing protection, and it’s not unattractive. Tekcoo released the Tmajor case in seven colors. And, despite being sturdy and stylish, it costs less than $10.
Spigen Rugged Armor Extra Case
- Color(s): Black
- Price: $20
Spigen’s Rugged Armor Extra case provides full protection without any bulkiness. It’s a single piece of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), but the edges are made a bit thicker and infused with Air Cushion technology to brace for impact. Still, it’s slim-fitting. You’re not going to turn your Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL into a brick-looking device with this case.
Tech21 Evo Check Case
- Color(s): Clear/White, Smokey/Black
- Price: $40
You want protection, and you want style. The Evo Check case gives you both.
Tech21, which has been on the rise in the last year or two, created a case with three layers of “advanced impact materials” around the border. The case has an outer shell to cushion impact, a skeletal frame to spread impact energy, and a FlexShock interior to absorb any remaining impact energy. But it doesn’t look big and ugly while doing so.
The Evo Check is available in two colors — Clear/White and Smokey/Black. Whether you choose the light option or the dark option, you’re still getting a check pattern on the back that’s translucent. That allows you to show off the design of Google’s latest flagship while ensuring your Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL remains safe.
