What you need to know

  • Apple has partnered with Best Buy to expand its repair service.
  • Best Buy has nearly 1,000 stores across the US.
  • The partnership makes getting Apple products repaired much more accessible.

Going forward, it'll be much easier to repair your Apple gear (like Apple's butterfly keyboard). The Cupertino-based company on Wednesday announced a partnership with Best Buy that will offer "expert service and repairs" for Apple products at the big box retailer.

The move will make getting repairs for Apple products much more accessible, especially if you live in a less populated area of the US. Apple specifically pointed out cities such as Yuma, Arizona; Sioux City, Iowa; Twin Falls, Idaho; and Casper, Wyoming, as now having easier access to authorized repairs.

"If a customer ever needs to repair their products, we want them to feel confident those repairs are done safely and correctly," said Tara Bunch, Apple's Vice President of AppleCar. "We're always looking at how we can reliably expand our network of trained technicians and we're excited to partner with every Best Buy store so it's even easier for our customers to find an authorized repair location near them."

When you take your Apple products to get repaired at an authorized service provider, repairs are performed by trained experts who use genuine Apple parts. Apple also backs every repair for added peace of mind.
