Try not to spill your champagne. Bentley unveiled the Continental GT Speed this week, a car that it has officially dubbed the “fastest production Bentley ever.” The brand isn’t one I’ve ever associated with speed, more luxury, but now the rich and famous can get from the country club to the chateau faster. Very important when the chopper pilot is out sick.
Each model takes 110 hours to craft by hand and is then assembled by 30 employees over the span of more than 12 hours. Robots be damned!
The Bentley Continental GT Speed is capable of reaching 206mph thanks to its 6.0 liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine. You’ll cruise from 0-60 in just 3.9 seconds as you sit back in the carbon fiber-accented cabin, which can be customized in several colors only the wealthy can comprehend, including “St James Red,” “Beluga” and “Hallmark.” A special Black Edition adds contrasting leather colors with fancier names, boosting the opulence of your Bentley.
The Continental GT Speed and Continental GT Speed Black Edition will ship this summer, but orders can be placed now.
