EA and DICE have released the premiere gameplay footage for Battlefield 3. Fans are privy to 43 seconds of quick cuts, odd noises, title slides and brief gameplay. The result is enamoring.

Obviously we'll need to see the game in full, uninterrupted motion for a better perspective, but the new Frostbite engine from DICE looks stunning. Key moments in lighting effects, particle effects, sharp textures, rock solid motion and a little puddle of standing water are the highlight of this quick blip of footage. If you love shooters or Battlefield games, you should be covered in drool by now. Go get a towel. It's just…just…gross.

The end of the trailer showcases two bits of information concerning the pre-order and the launch of the game. Battlefield 3 is set to release in the Fall of 2011, officially now, and comes with some reservation enticement. Those that pre-order the game will get the yet to be detailed "Back to Karkand" expansion pack at no extra charge.

Psyched? Not psyched? Let's hear it.
