EA and DICE have released their newest gameplay trailer for Battlefield 3. The clip above has been built from in-game footage, we're assuming of the PC variety, and checks in at just over a minute.

All of the footage, as has been the story with the PC version of Battlefield 3, looks absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, the scenes involving the fighter jets look very realistic. So much so that I personally did a double-take during my first watching to check and make sure it wasn't a cutscene of the real life variety.

Hopefully some of that graphical glory translates to the console side of this upcoming shooter experience. Between it and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, we should have another holiday packed with multiplayer madness and tons of dudes and dudettes virtually shooting one another.

We currently have an open poll running regarding which entry our readers will be snagging between Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3. If you feel like it, head to the article, make your selection and join the discussion.

What is it with the pairing of rappers and modern day first and third person shooters that has entered into the marketing plans for so many major publishers today? Ice-T rapped for Gears of War 3 and Eminem did the same for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Now we've got EA taking the same route with a mix of Jay-z's "99 Problems" for Battlefield 3.

Each game has either sold well or is currently poised for success, so the model must be a smart one. That said, I much prefer the dubstep stylings of Ubisoft's recent Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood work. But, hey, if every game trailer used that instead of rap, rock or orchestral, I'd probably be tired of it too.

Battlefield 3 will launch for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 25th. We'll have more on the game as it comes.
