In both of Rocksteady’s epic Batman games, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, the Batcave is missing. Given the circumstances of those locales, the Caped Crusader has no need for the Batcave. It’s not a complaint, but rather a plot point.

Batman: Arkham Origins, however, will feature an accessible Batcave. New screenshots for the game and information from the GamesTM magazine indicate that players will enjoy moments in Batman’s high-tech hideout with this new title.

Arkham Asylum did feature a sort of mini-Batcave, though it was more of a temporary shelter and headquarters during the player’s romp through that relatively tight space. The actual Batcave will, of course, be much bigger.

Batman: Arkham Origins will drop for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC platforms on Oct. 25, 2013. We’ll be following the game until then.
