Batman: Arkham Origins pits the Dark Knight in a fight for his life against eight assassins assembled by a nemesis named Black Mask. The final two members of his army of murderers have just been leaked, and it seems that Killer Croc will be making a return to the series. He will be accompanied by the lesser known Lady Shiva.
They join the likes of Bane, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Copperhead, Firefly, and Electrocutioner. Also joining the fight outside of the eight assassins are Batman’s traditional foes The Joker, Penguin, Mad Hatter, and Anarky.
How this crowded roster of foes plans on dividing up all that screen time is beyond me, but Batman villains more often than not scrabble with each other for attention. I expect a lot of infighting at some point.
Killer Croc already made an appearance in the recent Batman series as a clever boss fight encountered in the basement of Arkham Asylum back in the first game. Some fans might not be over-eager for a rematch because that was one tough fight.
Warner Bros. Interactive Montreal has yet to officially reveal these final two characters as part of the game, so treat this as a rumor for now. However, we are willing to bet that this will solidify the game’s line-up of villains pestering Batman yet again.
Batman: Arkham Origins will be released this week on October 25th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC. Be sure to check out our thoughts soon afterwards.
