In Batman: Arkham Knight, it looks like the Scarecrow will take it upon himself to reassemble Batman’s rogues gallery and pit them against Gotham and the Caped Crusader. This new trailer features the voice work of the psychotic scarecrow as he threatens Batman and his city with its imminent demise.
Mixed between shots of the sprawling city and Batman’s enemies, we get quick glimpses of the Dark Knight beating the ever-loving crap out of thugs and making good use of his Batmobile.
If you’re following the Arkham Knight news, then you know that we received word yesterday that the game picked up an M rating. That’s the first time for any Batman video game ever, and it stands to reason that Rocksteady has likely crafted an insanely dark and intense adventure.
That excites me, both as a player and a fan of Batman in general. Rocksteady earned my trust in a big way with the plot in Arkham City, and if they can return to that same tone and impact, this game could be huge.
Batman: Arkham Knight will release for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms on June 2, 2015. We’ll have more on the game as it comes.
