A sequel to the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum has been teased for quite some time, the earliest being this year’s Video Game Awards on Spike TV.  Game Informer has uveiled their September covers (1&2), revealing the sequel, Batman: Arkham City.  The game will launch in Fall 2011 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The two covers in question both make it painfully clear that we’ll be seeing Catwoman making an appearance, suggesting the possibility of a co-op campaign or subplot playable by the Batman alternative.  One of the covers has Two-Face dressed as Uncle Sam faded in the background, the most likely addition for the sequel’s villain alongside The Joker and Harley Quinn.  The Batman: Arkham City website went live yesterday, showing only the trailer premiered at the VGAs.

You can preorder a copy today but your money will be tied up for over a year.  Were you a fan of the first?  Will you be buying the second?  Let us know what you think!
