OK, we kid, we hope you're never in a dangerous Starbucks that requires any form of protection against bullets. But, if you travel to a dangerous area and forget your body armor, VestGuard UK has you — well, at least your iPad — covered.

The company recently announced a ballistic iPad case that's bulletproof against shots from a 9mm handgun. According to the firm, the case is built out of "cutting edge uni-directional aramid fibers processed to a high tolerance in VestGuard's state of the art facility." The company's website doesn't currently list the product, but it's home to dozens of other protective equipment and clearly targeted and government or contract workers who find themselves in high-threat areas. We can't tell how thick it is, but it doesn't seem as fat as the 1-inch thick steel bulletproof iPhone case.

It's unclear how much the case costs or when it will be available for purchase, but we imagine it won't be cheap.
