In case you hadn't notice from the latest trailer, Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most ambitious movies ever made. It will be loaded with countless Marvel characters and a villain who promises to be a worthy adversary. Unsurprisingly, in fitting all of those moving parts together, Infinity War will be the longest MCU movie to date.
According to Fandago's overview of the movie, Avengers: Infinity War will have a runtime of 156 minutes. That figure surpasses Captain America: Civil War's runtime of 147 by a sizable margin. That's essentially ten extra minutes of screen time, but given the number of characters and storylines that will be balanced, all the extra time will be necessary.
The final trailer shows off a lot of elements to expect from the movie like Gamora's backstory with Thanos, Captain America's hand-to-hand bout with Thanos, Tony Stark's destroyed Iron Man suit and Doctor Strange being tortured by Ebony Maw, a member of the Black Order.
That's only what we've seen in the trailers. We still haven't heard a peep out of Hulk nor Hawkeye. We did, however, get an earful of Star-Lord's charming banter.
Avengers: Infinity War's running time is just hyping us up even more for the movie. We'll get to enjoy all of its 156-minute goodness when it arrives in theaters April 27.
