If the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame is anything to go by, Tony Stark might not survive past the movie's opening few minutes. But a new theory predicts the MCU's godfather isn't going to make such a quick and anti-climactic exit.
In the trailer, Tony is seen on the Benatar, which is in rough shape following the battle on Titan. He has no food or water and oxygen is in very short supply. With seemingly no help on the way, it's looking like Tony's life expectancy is about to go down to zero.
A new theory from dresudi, however, posits that Tony may be rescued at the last minute—and not by who you think.
Basically, dresudi believes that Rocket Raccoon will successfully locate the ship and lead a rescue mission with Pepper Potts. When Pepper arrives at Tony's location, she'll don her Rescue armor, which is something fans have been waiting to happen for years.
It's also something we've seen leaked in earlier images.
There's plenty of speculation out there as to how Tony might survive such dire circumstances, but this latest theory probably makes the most sense. It's a lot more believable than saying Captain Marvel will be the one to conveniently fly by and pick Tony up.
Avengers: Endgame is set to hit theaters on April 26, 2019.
