The mystery surrounding the first Avengers 4 trailer has been hanging in the air since the credits rolled for Avengers: Infinity War. It’s a hot subject among MCU fans hoping to get their first look at how the remaining Avengers are going to regroup, and Hawkeye just threw gasoline all over the topic.

Jeremy Renner, best known for playing Hawkeye in Marvel movies, made an appearance at Tokyo Comic-Con over the weekend where he dropped the tantalizing news that the Avengers 4 trailer would be dropping in “a few days.”

That’s the biggest update we’ve received on the Avengers 4 teaser trailer. We’re not sure how credible it is because so much misinformation has come out about the trailer over the last week, but this update comes from an actor with inside knowledge of the movie.

Adding credence to Renner’s statement was a tweet liked by Disney and Marvel marketing chief Asad Ayaz that stated the trailer was dropping Wednesday, December 5.

The timeframe of the supposed first teaser for Avengers 4 dropping coincides with the news that the second trailer for Captain Marvel is dropping during Monday Night Football on ESPN. Captain Marvel is the first MCU movie to be coming out in March 2019 followed by Avengers 4 two months later. Their marketing is going to go hand in hand and releasing trailers for each movie in the same week seems like a great way to begin the process.

By this time next week, we may finally have our first look at Avengers 4.
