Marvel will apparently make the dreams of many fans become a reality when Avengers 4 hit theaters next year. At least, speculation about the event is running rampant thanks to a new leak, which suggests Pepper Potts will finally wear the Rescue armor.
The leak comes via Reddit, which shows off an image of an upcoming Avengers toy line, similar to the one that leaked a few days ago. While the image’s quality is poor, you can just make out the armor in the bottom right-hand corner.
As MCU Cosmic points out, the armor looks a lot like what Pepper wore in the animated Iron Man series. If Pepper does suit up, we can probably expect her rescue armor to be of the nano variety, similar to what Iron Man wore in Avengers: Infinity War.
This was just posted on twitter – leaked pictures of figurines of Avengers 4 characters (SPOILERS) from marvelstudios
Adding to the validity of the rumor is the fact that actor Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts in the MCU, posted an image from the Avengers 4 set wearing a motion capture suit. Many people took that to mean her role in Avengers 4 will be a lot different than what it was in Avengers: Infinity War.
Now, just because we’re seeing the Rescue armor in toy form doesn’t confirm its existence in Avengers 4. Plenty of spinoff toys are made for big franchises but they’re often separate from the movies they’re based on. This is likely another example.
Even still, considering the stakes involved, the Avengers will need all the help they can get in order to undo Thanos’ snap. And that’s assuming Pepper wasn’t wiped out with half of the universe.
Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
