I’m still recovering from the events of Avengers: Infinity War and my inner nerd is terrified about the carnage Avengers 4 will wreck on Earth’s mightiest heroes and the MCU as a whole. At this point, I’m going to warn you of SPOILERS for Avengers 4. The same anonymous source that correctly predicted major Avengers: Infinity War plot points-  including the return of the Red Skull – is back with information they claim is a slam dunk. This time though, we learn how Captain America will meet his end. We’ve known Chris Evans wants out of the MCU, and now, if you believe the source, we know how it will happen.

“At one point, Cap and Thor fight Thanos. Timeline alterations have restored Mjolnir and Cap wields it against Thanos to allow the others to escape, and is killed holding Thanos off.” There’s been rumors that there’s a funeral scene for a crucial Avenger.”

We saw cap move Mjolnir in Avengers: Age of Ultron but him being able to straight up pick it up and use it like Thor proves his worth. While the loss of Cap will certainly hurt (and he won’t be the only death in the film) as I’ve written before, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Captain America, just the Steve Rodgers incarnation.

This theory does make sense and even seems a bit obvious. If the source was just a fan, I’d take it with a huge grain of salt, but since it comes from someone with a track record of reliability, it’s worth taking seriously. Is it too early to say R.I.P. Captain America?
