Attack on Titan is among the most poplar and influential animes of the last several years, and fans in America have been just as enthusiastic about the title as its fans in Japan. Unfortunately, these American fans are unable to enjoy Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind on the Nintendo 3DS as it remains exclusive to the region-locked Nintendo 3DS on the wrong side of the ocean.
Not so fast, because localizing company XSEED is looking into bringing it to American shores. Siliconera cites sources within the company that say that it has “been searching for a publishing partner to do so.”
The game has been selling very well in Japan after breaking 93,000 copies in its first week and a total of 240,000 ever since. The open-world setting and ridiculous action in the game have garnered quite a bit of praise accurately representing the acrobatic combat found in the show. The anime has since been localized in English by Funimation, and a localization of the game would make a lot of sense given its small size and dedicated fanbase.
Would you like to play Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind for the Nintendo 3DS? I was unaware of the show until I first caught glimpse of the game. It turned me on to the franchise, so leaving the game left unplayed makes my overall experience feel unfinished.
