AT&T has just confirmed with TechnoBuffalo that it will sell Windows Phone 8 devices later this year. Microsoft initially said the devices would be available for the holidays but it also sprinkled a few mentions that the operating system would be ready “this fall” during its Developer Summit on Wednesday. “AT&T plans to carry a new line of Windows Phone 8 smartphones launching later this year,” an AT&T spokesperson told TechnoBuffalo. “The unmatched leader in Windows Phone –offering the very first 4G LTE Windows Phone smartphones in the U.S. – AT&T is home to the most robust Windows Phone portfolio of any carrier.” AT&T did not confirm an exact date or the manufacturers that will build those Windows Phones, but Microsoft said its official partners include Huawei, HTC, Samsung and Nokia.
