Atlus has been such a huge tease these last two weeks. When we last checked in with the company, it teased a “super important” Persona announcement, which proved to be a new anime series, and it also teased a new game with the hint of “Origami Rhino Oh Yo,” whatever that means.
This week, Atlus began teasing the Megaten Reddit community of an immediate release of a new game on PSN coming once the store updates tomorrow.
“You’re probably going to want to fire up your PS3s and keep an eye on the PS Store tomorrow, And if you’re thinking “but wait, I didn’t hear anything SMT related on the PlayStation blogcast this weekend,” it’s because I had to make a quick phone call to keep it secret. 🙂
What could it possibly mean!? Is a Shin Megami Tensei or Persona game being localized that it had up its sleeve? An original game or a PC port? Another one of Atlus’ major sales?
I’m going to place my bet on it being Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne getting a PlayStation 2 Classic release since it seriously needs one and Atlus has been delivering the goods with other great PlayStation 2 games recently. The Digital Devil Saga games are also a possibility too. We’ll keep an eye on the PlayStation Store once it updates and let you know what becomes of Atlus’ latest mysterious posts.
