ASUS Transformer Pad 300

ASUS Announced today that the Transformer Pad TF300 will begin receiving an update to Android 4.2 beginning today in the U.S.

While the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update is rolling out to the Transformer Pad in the U.S., users in other territories will have to wait a bit longer, but the company says it will be some time this month.

This update marks the first tablet outside of the Google’s own Nexus 10 to receive the update. It isn’t clear why it is taking some other manufacturers so long, but at least it is starting to happen. However, with Key Lime Pie suspected to launch in May at Google I/O, we’ll have to start the whole process over again at that point.
