I'm absolutely convinced someone in the Ubisoft marketing department responsible for all of the Assassin's Creed: Revelations media is in love with dubstep. This marks the second trailer to use the style of music for backing, and the first time around it was actually quite awesome.

The trailer above features approximately two full minutes of in-game, multiplayer action. The entire thing is centered around the close-range killing aspect of the Assassin's Creed franchise, so it gets pretty brutal from time to time.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the last game to launch in the series, was the first to include its own multiplayer gameplay component. Essentially, players took on the roles of Templar in training as they hopped into animi (more than one animus) and engaged in assassination combat. The mechanics that unfolded in this game mode wound up being fairly unique to Brotherhood, and most critics applauded Ubisoft for making something so different.

Should Revelations go on to improve and refine the new multiplayer portion of the Assassin's Creed brand, Ubisoft could be looking at a fairly attractive reason for gamers to snag this title in one of the most game-packed holiday seasons ever.

Will you be buying into this game on or near launch? If so, how does its multiplayer aspect sound so far to you?

Assassin's Creed: Revelations will ship for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms on November 15th of this year.
