Assassin's Creed Movie

Ridiculous pre-orders have now moved beyond the world of gaming and into that of movie theaters. The upcoming Assassin's Creed flick, which isn't even screening until December of this year, is now offering ticket pre-orders.

That's not even the end of the insanity. No. As found on Kernel, where you can do the reserving, the pre-orders start at $15 (a tier that includes a ticket, popcorn, temporary tattoos, a silly watch and a digital copy of the script) all the way to $1,200 (a tier that includes, yes, a crossbow).

Here's what you get for $1,200. Heads up, there are only 20 of these left.

Spanish Crossbow from Ubi Workshop

This 15th Century crossbow is an exact 1:1 scale replica of the weapon featured in the upcoming movie and used in a pivotal scene. Created by famed Hollywood weapons master Tim Wildgoose, the crossbow is 18" long and features scenes from Medieval Spain as well as motifs from Assassin's Creed lore. Handcrafted, numbered and limited to an edition size of twenty, this piece is a worthy centerpiece of any Assassin's Creed or movie prop collection. Comes with a signed letter of authenticity. Available exclusively on Kernel. This package also includes a ticket to see Assassin's Creed in theaters, a digital copy of the script, and behind-the-scenes extras.

This is pretty silly. I'm curious, though, is anyone actually looking to snag this thing?

Assassin's Creed hits theaters on December 21, 2016.
