Aspyr Media, the company behind the Call of Duty ports for Mac OS X, has announced that it’s working in partnership with 2K Games and Gearbox Software to bring Borderlands 2 to the Mac on November 20. The title will be identical to the critically-acclaimed first-person “shooter-looter” you’ve been enjoying on consoles for weeks.

Borderlands 2, as you may have guessed, is the sequel to Gearbox’s original Borderlands. It’s “bigger, better and more badass,” Aspyr says, with all-new characters and skills, new environments and missions, and more exciting weapons, equipment, and loot than ever before.

“Aspyr prides itself on bringing the best in gaming to the Mac audience,” said Ted Staloch, Vice President of Aspyr Media. “Borderlands 2 is definitely among the best. Most sequels have a hard time living up to the first, but Borderlands 2 manages to improve on every cool aspect of Borderlands, and still finds a way to wrap the player up in a new story with a new experience.”

Just like its console counterpart, the OS X port will allow gamers to play together online, with “drop-in-drop-out” capabilities. It’ll be priced at $59.99 on Steam when it arrives on November 20, and it’ll hit the Mac App Store later this year. If you pre-order your copy now via, you can get access to Premiere Club content, including the Gearbox Gold Gun Pack, a Golden Key, the Vault Hunter’s Relic, and a fifth playable Vault Hunter for free.
