As if the box office shattering success of Jurassic World wasn’t enough, ARK: Survival Evolved, the dinosaur-filled survival game has reached 1 million sales already despite being in Steam Early Access for just over a month.

ARK puts you on an island filled with dinosaurs to tame and other survivors to team up with, fight against, help out, and troll. You can craft weapons and buildings, and mount all manner of thunder lizard as a means of transportation.

Now, developer Studio Wildcard has announced, modding the game is possible.

The modding will be possible via Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 tools to add in anything from new weapons to a new world. You might even be able to work in some Cadillacs to ride in alongside the dinosaurs.

“This is the first generation of engines where we made modding a central part of the engine strategy,” said Epic boss Tim Sweeney in an interview with GamesBeat. “We polished the tools to make the engine super approachable by aspiring modders.  Both ARK itself and Unreal Engine 4 were designed with modding in mind, and both Wildcard and Epic will be sources of support for potential modders as they explore just what’s possible.

As for me, I’m waiting on the now inevitable Dino-Riders mod.
