Uh oh. Apple's amazingly thin new iMac computers may not be available for purchase before the holiday season. According to a French news site called MacBidouille, retail sources have revealed that the new desktop computers will not arrive on Nov. 27, as originally expected.

Instead, the devices may not be available until early next year. 9to5Mac originally said that there were delays and said that it would be surprised if Apple even announced the iMacs during its press event on Oct. 23, when it unveiled the fourth generation iPad, the iPad mini, a new 13-inch MacBook Air with a Retina Display and new Mac mini computers. So what's the hold up?

Apparently Apple's manufacturers are struggling to get the welding process up to speed. Hopefully these kinks are worked out so that at least the 21.5-inch model, which is the one that was expected to launch in November, will hit the market before the new year. We'll keep you up to date if we hear any more news.
