Apple VS Samsung-6

The relationship between Apple and Samsung is a tumultuous one, affected by numerous lawsuits and an increasingly vicious battle for worldwide market share. Punches have been exchanged, scores have been tallied, but only one can be the winner. So who's the heavyweight champ? Apple. By a wide margin, a new report claims.

According to Raymond James analyst Tavis McCourt, total sales of the iPhone 4, 4S and iPhone 5 far outweigh that of Samsung's Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lineups—by as much as 88 million units.

Samsung's impressive devices have skyrocketed the company's image into the mainstream over the past few years, culminating in such handsets such as the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II. But it hasn't been enough to catch up to Apple's incredibly popular iPhone. At least not yet.

Many have lamented Apple's lack of imagination and penchant for iterative updates, yet the company still continues to do well. However, with Samsung's stature growing everyday, and the looming presence of BlackBerry 10, Apple will almost certainly need to step it up in order to stay ahead of the pack.
