We praised the Apple Watch Sport in our recent review, though did note a few of its shortcomings, and now Consumer Reports is out with its official stance on the new wearable. The publication, which reviews everything from cars to kitchen appliances, recently awarded the Apple Watch the top smartwatch out of 11 different smartwatches.

Consumer Reports said it tested for “durability, health functionality, readability in bright and low light, ease of use, and ease of interaction,” and was most impressed with the Apple Watch after its testing was complete. The company specifically tested the Apple Watch with a steel body and sapphire screen, and found it was the standout wearable in scratch tests, though one model (the Apple Watch Sport) failed one of its water immersion tests.

“In the end, our top rated smartwatch is the stainless-steel Apple Watch,” Consumer Reports said Wednesday. “Its performance on the scratch-resistance test and excellent scores for ease of pairing and ease of interaction make it our top choice.” The report said that Android fans have plenty of good Android Wear devices to choose from, but noted that the Sony Smartwatch 3 failed its water resistance test and so “fell to the bottom of [its] rankings.”
