Now that the Apple Watch is in your possession, and you’ve familiarized yourself with how to use it, we wanted to share some fun tips and tricks to further turn you into an Apple Watch pro.

It might not seem like you can do a whole lot with the wearable at first, but there are actually a lot of neat hidden features designed to make sure your phone stays in your pocket. After all, that’s why Apple made a wearable in the first place. It’s not just a fashion statement, but a gizmo designed to stop you from staring at your iPhone all hours of the day.

Some of these tips and tricks are common knowledge, while others are just plain good to know if you want to really get the most out of Apple’s fancy new device.

  1. How to take a screenshot: If you want to show off to your friends that you walked over 10,000 steps today, you can take a screenshot on your Apple Watch by quickly pressing both the side button and Digital Crown. You’ll then see that screenshot in your photos app on your Apple Watch and on your iPhone.
  2. How to Hard Reset: No device is perfect, so if your Apple Watch ever freezes, you can hard reset it by holding down both the side button and digital crown for at least ten seconds. If it worked, you’ll see the Apple logo.
  3. How to Force Close Apps: Let’s say an app is lagging, or isn’t working properly, you can force close an app to restart it. To do this, press and hold the side button until the power down sliders appears, and then release it. Press and hold the side button again until the app disappears and you’re back to the home screen. Launching the app again will start fresh.
  4. How-to Hide Apps on your homescreen: With the Apple Watch you can’t really organize apps by folders, so you’re stuck with the bubble layout apple gives you. Instead you can hide apps by holding on an icon and pressing the “x” button. It’ll ask you if you want to delete the app, and after that, the app is gone. However it’s not gone forever. You can always bring it back if you want through the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  5. How to Move Apps around your homescreen: Just like on any iOS device, you can move the icons around by tapping and holding on an icon. It’s simple, and works surprisingly well on such a tiny screen. You can also use your iPhone to rearrange your apps by going into the Apple Watch app, and then to App Layout.
  6. Clearing All Notifications: When you swipe down on your Apple Watch you can see all of your notifications. But instead of swiping each notification away individually, you can actually use force touch to dismiss all notifications with just one tap. Just bring down the notification center, Force Touch, and a new action will pop-up asking you if you want to clear all notifications.
  7. Set a default city for your weather: To do this, head in to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then go to Weather, and then Default City. There you can choose which city you want to set as your default. If you want to add a city or remove a city, you can do so by going to the Weather app on your iPhone.
  8. Pinging your iPhone: If you can’t find your iPhone around the house, you can quickly ping it using your Apple Watch by swiping up to your Glances and tapping on the Ping iPhone button. Granted, you do have to be in proximity of your phone, b once you press the button, you’ll hear your iPhone ringing, allowing you to easily track it down.
  9. Zoom mode on the Apple Watch: If you find it hard to swipe around the tiny icons on the Apple Watch, you can actually turn on accessibility to zoom in. To activate this feature, launch the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then go to General > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut. From here you can choose the zoom feature, which is activated by triple-clicking the Digital Crown.
  10. Adjust Intensity of the Haptic Feedback: When you receive certain notifications, the Apple Watch will tap your wrist using its Taptic Engine. If you find the haptic feedback to be a little too much or a little too soft, you can adjust the intensity. You can do this either on your Apple Watch or on your iPhone. To change it on the Apple Watch, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, then scroll down and adjust the Ringer and Alert Haptics Slider. To change it on the iPhone, open the Apple Watch App, then go to My Watch > Sounds & Haptics, and adjust the Haptic Strength slider to your preferred level.
