The new Apple Watch will make its global debut in a few hours. Yet we’re already learning about what’ll be announced for the Cupertino-based company’s latest smartwatch model.
While you could wait for Apple’s full unveiling, All Things How went ahead and dug into several sitemap files for the Apple Store. It reveals details about the Apple Watch Series 4 that weren’t known yet. The leak tells us the sizes, colors, and configurations that’ll be available around the world.
Apple, by the way, should be held responsible for this leak. The Apple Store went down this morning, and during that time several media outlets jumped at the opportunity to scrape for information. So that’s how the Apple Watch Series 4 got partially uncovered.
Here’s a screenshot from the sitemap files:
Apple should announce that, starting this year, the Apple Watch can be purchased in 40mm and 44mm sizes. In the past, the Apple Watch was sold in 38mm and 42mm sizes only. The overall sizes might feel unchanged for the most part because the Apple Watch could have more display and less bezel.
For colors, everyone will get to choose between Silver, Space Gray, and Gold. The selection of bands should be vast, ranging from silicone to leather and Nike to Hermès. Apple’s kept colors and styles basic but with satisfactory customization.
Just like it did last year, Apple will sell its smartwatch in two different configurations. The Apple Watch Series 4 should be available with GPS or GPS + Cellular. Both choices should extend to all sizes and colors.
Following the Apple event, the Apple Watch Series 4 should go up for pre-order. Then it’ll likely ship in two weeks or so.
Stay tuned for the latest on Apple’s major announcements. TechnoBuffalo has continuing live coverage from Cupertino where the new iPhone models and the Apple Watch series 4 will go official. Who knows, maybe there will even be some surprises for us all. It all goes down later today at 1:00PM ET.
