During the iPhone event next week Apple is also expected to unveil a new Apple Watch. In an unexpected twist, an Apple press image of the Apple Watch Series 4 has already leaked, giving us our first good look at the major changes, including impressively reduced bezels.
Now, 9to5Mac used information within the watchOS 5 beta to figure out the resolution of the Apple Watch Series 4’s display and created renders of how it will look. Compared to the 42mm watch, which has a display resolution of 312×390, the new watch jumps up to resolution of 384×480, offering a much bigger display area.
That sounds good and all, but how will it look? The extra real estate looks great in the renders. Having the two display sizes side by side highlights just how small the displays are on the older generation Apple Watches.
If there was one major gripe users had with the Apple Watch was how big its bezels were. The screen-to-body ratio is a paltry 55-percent, so it’s good to see Apple to finally address the complaint.
TechnoBuffalo will bring you complete coverage of Apple’s announcements during its September 12 event, including the new Apple Watch Series 4.
