The Apple Watch is still only available to order online, but we may be just a few short weeks away from an in-store launch. At least that’s what CEO Tim Cook told employees in China during his trip last week, according to a report from 9to5Mac.

Citing anonymous sources with information about the private meetings, 9to5Mac senior editor Mark Gurman reveals that Apple plans to stock up its physical stores by June. That includes locations in China. “The Watch could not be going better,” Cook apparently said. “We’re working really hard on making more.”

Responding to employee questions, Cook also offered updates on the company’s efforts to launch Apple Pay in China. It turns out Apple Internet software and services chief Eddy Cue tagged along on the trip to meet with potential partners in the country. “I think we’ve made progress,” Cook said, adding that the mobile payments service should launch “soon” in China.
