If you preordered the Apple Watch and received a note that your Apple Watch isn’t expected to ship until May or June, long after the official launch on April 24, you may actually end up getting it a lot sooner. Apple recently confirmed that it’s pushing out orders that originally weren’t supposed to ship until much later.

“We’re happy to be updating many customers today with the news that their Apple Watch will arrive sooner than expected,” Apple told BuzzFeed recently. “Our team is working to fill orders as quickly as possible based on the available supply and the order in which they were received. We know many customers are still facing long lead times and we appreciate their patience.”

Apple had warned that supply was going to be tight at launch, and that’s certainly the case. It won’t have stock in Apple Store locations on Friday, April 24, though a few boutique shops around the world will. Most models on the site are now listed as shipping in June, and you can try your hand at ordering one and hoping it comes earlier, but that’s far from guaranteed.
