The Apple Watch is more than a quick way to view notifications. It’s an activity tracker, too. Apple built its smartwatch to focus on health and wellness as much as anything else. That’s why the Cupertino-based company just rolled out a series of TV ads centered around the Activity app.
In each spot, a different individual is followed throughout the day. Apple highlights exactly how the smartwatch fits into their lives.
None of their activities are the same, but the Apple Watch adapts and modifies goals for them. Eric an older man who enjoys walking, cooking, and dancing while Atilla is much more into high-speed workouts. Meanwhile, Yocelin does everything ranging from basketball to dancing to yoga.
What they all share is the ability to complete personalized, daily goals. Apple calls it the ‘Close Your Rings’ campaign.
The ads are already airing in Australia, but maybe Apple will roll out tweaked versions in various regions. So we should see the same or similar ads around the world in the coming weeks.

Later this year, watchOS 5 will be released. The upcoming version includes third-party content on watch faces, activity competitions, Walkie-Talkie, student ID cards, podcasts, and more. Apple’s existing smartwatches will get watchOS 5 in a software update, and it’ll likely arrive pre-installed on a new Apple Watch expected in the fall.
